𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞: Electronic Devices
As we prepare for the new school year, we'd like to make families aware of an update to the 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 regarding student electronic devices.
The policy has been updated to clarify that it applies to all non-school board-issued electronic devices, including:
📱 Cell phones
⌚ Smartwatches
🕶️ Smart glasses
🎧 Headphones
💻 Tablets and laptops
📷 Cameras and other personal electronic devices
Students may bring personal electronic devices to school; however, they may not be visible or used during instructional time unless authorized by school personnel or required as part of an IEP, Section 504 Plan, or documented medical need.
School administrators may allow the use of personal electronic devices during designated non-instructional times, in accordance with district policy.
We encourage all families to review the updated Code of Student Conduct before the first day of school, so students understand the expectations for the safe and appropriate use of personal electronic devices at school.
