Connie Kane

Connie Kane is a lifelong Citrus County resident and proud graduate of Lecanto Primary, Lecanto Middle, and Lecanto High School. Her passion for education began in 2001 through the AmeriCorps Reading Program at Lecanto Primary, where she discovered her love of helping students learn and grow. She began her career as a classroom teacher in 2006 and has dedicated more than 20 years to education.

Throughout her career, Connie has taught kindergarten, third, fourth, and fifth grades. She spent 12 years at Pleasant Grove Elementary and three years teaching fifth grade at Rock Crusher Elementary. She also served for two years as a Behavior Specialist at Lecanto Middle School before transitioning into school administration.

Since December 2022, Connie has proudly served as the Assistant Principal at Crystal River Primary School. She enjoys supporting students, teachers, and families while helping create a positive and welcoming school environment.

Outside of school, Connie enjoys spending time with her family. Her daughter recently graduated from Lecanto High School, and her son is currently a junior at LHS. The family loves hiking and exploring National Parks across the United States. They are also passionate Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans and proudly cheer them on each weekend. Go Bucs!
