Good evening Bear Cub Families, 

This week marks our first SAC meeting of the school year! We’ll review school data, the CRPS School Improvement Plan, the Title I Parental and Family Engagement Plan, and hear District and State updates. The SAC plays a pivotal role in ensuring all stakeholder voices are heard as we work together to make CRPS the best it can be. You do not have to be a voting member to attend—everyone is welcome. We’ll begin promptly at 4:15 p.m. in the media center on Tuesday, September 30th. Immediately following, the CRPS PTO will hold their first meeting of the year, tentatively starting around 5 p.m.

A few reminders about parent drop-off and pick-up: adults must remain in their vehicles when using the car line. Getting out to buckle/unbuckle impacts the flow of traffic. In the mornings, if you need to assist your child, please park and walk them across the crosswalk. In the afternoons, pull forward beyond the first loading zone before buckling your student to help keep traffic moving safely. Also, students who eat breakfast should arrive by 9 a.m. to allow time to finish before class begins.

5th Grade Safety Patrol Families: On Wednesday, October 1st, there will be a parent meeting at 5:15 p.m. in the media center regarding the end-of-year Washington, D.C. trip. Attendance is essential for families planning to send their child. Sponsors will cover payment plans, fundraising opportunities, and other important details.

We are still collecting individually wrapped candy for the PTO’s Annual Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat on October 23rd. Donations are due by October 20th.
